I've been an active socialist, feminist, trade unionist and community campaigner for nearly 16 year based in Swansea, Cardiff and Pontypridd. I was a member of the Socialist Party for 13 years, then two years in Left Unity, but since then I've been an independent socialist activist). My interests are internationalism, marxism, workers' struggle, feminism, anti-racism and opposing war, oppression and capitalism. I blog at https://sakollantai.com and I also write for the socialist feminist Screaming Violets magazine : http:/.screamingviolets.com

socialist politics
I specialise in D.I.Y. art as although I have no training beyond GCSE art, what I lack in technique I make up for in imagination. I loved drawing at school but didn't pick up a pencil and paint brush again until half a life time away, aged 32. My mission now is to paint as well as I can see it in my mind's eye...
connecting with nature
As someone who's struggled with depression and anxiety for most of my life, I appreciate the solace to be found in allowing nature to envelop me. I love living on the side of a mountain with panaromic views of the valleys surrounding my hiraeth. Getting lost in the magical mysteries of the Taff Trail or a treat to the beach are two of my favourite past times.
